Methods A cost-utility analysis, based on de novo Markov model, carried out both from societal healthcare system perspective. model follows cohort during their life-course. cycle length annual half-cycle correction applied. discount rate 3 percent applied base case costs utilities. Most incidence, probabilities data were Spanish. Quality Adjusted Life Year (QALY) taken international literature. We assumed willingness pay threshold EUR 25,000 per QALY gained. performed deterministic one-way sensitivity analysis. Results Compared cost-effective assuming above- mentioned with Rotarix® perspective (RotaTeq® 32,008 QALY; 23,368 QALY). Universal not either compared no-vaccination or perspectives. Vaccine prices efficacy are highly sensitive variables. find that would be 44.6 36.9 price Rotarix®, respectively. Conclusions for Spain at prices. Vaccination Substantial reductions could make option Spain.
